Not a bad hire. I spoke to him briefly back in January as we was biding his time coaching his son's Stillwater Junior High team. Really nice guy, I hope he does well.

Dickey did very well at Tech before he left, and I can't imagine UH being much different than coaching at Tech. Odd choice nonetheless.

No idea why Billy Clyde would even entertain that idea?

this is a real sleeper of a hire, IMO. I expect the Dickey to get the message and keep as many Houston kids at home as possible.

Guy Lewis is still alive? He looked old in 1983.

cochamps, that's a good question...supposedly billy's cleaned himself up a bit, so that might make a difference.

i dont think that billy's off the court issues would get in the way of a tech hire. we'll see.
