Teams with highest stars per player

This is something I always watch for, because it is usually very telling. It speaks to the quality of player you are attracting. Almost every year USC is at the top of this list, but now Florida and Texas are right there with them. There is quite a gap between these three and the rest, and that is what one would expect from the three biggest schools in the three biggest recruiting hotbeds.

USC 4.00
Texas 3.96
Florida 3.92
Alabama 3.64
Georgia 3.61
Auburn 3.57
Penn State 3.55
LSU 3.54
OU 3.52
Tennessee 3.50
UCLA 3.47
Oregon 3.47
Notre Dame 3.47
Texas A&M 3.46
Florida State 3.45

The big surprise is Ohio State at 3.39. RIvals has them ranked 18th. This appears to be a down year for them.

This makes more sense than just the star rating scores you see. I'd rather just take the avg rank of players ranked in rivals top250 x number of recruits. Others could be included in score by average of stars (ex 2.76) and assign numerical value using 300(3.0) to 600(2.0). Then multiply by the # of recruits not in the top250. If the rankings went higher than 250 we could use that. I'm not sure how many 2-3 stars there are so the 300-600 could need to be manipulated, but these would have little impact on the total score of top 10-15 groups....
