is awful, like might be one of the worst major league hitters to come around in a long, long time who is actually a starter on a real time (who considers itself a contender). He can't bunt, he can't hit, but he "calls a good game."

this year, he is 0-15 with 10 strikeouts through the first at bat.

last year, he was .217 with 76 strikeouts in 198 at bats

0 for 2 with 2 k's. That's 0 for 18 with 13 k's for the year. And a brutal throw into center while Bret Gardner was stealing (and stopping because he was a dead duck) to allow a run.

Not to me he doesn't. Winning championships for the University of Texas means a hell of a lot more than hitting .250 for a mediocre MLB team does in my book.

Let's face it, he wasn't a dominant offensive player when he was on the 40 Acres, so what exactly did you expect at the Big League level?
