Alright, I'm getting ready for Dallas vs. Detroit then Texas v. Washington and don't want to be distracted.

My favorite tea. I cannot find the Lemon infused online, but we have these. celestialseasonings.com

Full disclosure: My Family and I have no financial interest in Celestial Seasoning. We just like their product.

Tea is the second consumed beverage on the planet, behind water.

A little history from Wikipedia:

Green tea is a type of tea that is made from Camellia sinensis leaves and buds that have not undergone the same withering and oxidation process which is used to make oolong teas and black teas.[1] Green tea originated in China, and since then its production and manufacture has spread to other countries in East Asia.

In the U. S., if you go to a restaurant, you get Black Tea, Most Aian restaurants serve Green Tea,

White tea may refer to one of several styles of tea which generally feature young or minimally processed leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant.

Currently there is no generally accepted definition of white tea and very little international agreement; some sources use the term to refer to tea that is merely dried with no additional processing,[1] some to tea made from the buds and immature tea leaves picked shortly before the buds have fully opened and allowed to wither and dry in natural sun,[citation needed] while others include tea buds and very young leaves which have been steamed or fired before drying.[2] Most definitions agree, however, that white tea is not rolled or oxidized,[citation needed] resulting in a flavor characterized as "lighter" than most green or traditional black teas.

Personally, I’m coffee first, tea second.

But long leafed Darjeeling Black is about as good as it gets for tea for me. If you blend it 1/2 and 1/2 with Yunnan Gold, you’ve got an approximation of what the late Queen preferred. Fortnam and Mason imports some top notch teas to the US.

Now for iced tea, Lipton or Luisianne is plenty good enough for me—just don’t serve it sweet like some Eastern Dude.

I disagree and agree with this post.

Personally, I’m coffee first, tea second. DISAGREE, VEHEMENTLY SO.
Coffee sucks. It is the foul, burnt juice squeezed directly from the gall bladder of Satan himself.

Now for iced tea...just don’t serve it sweet like some Eastern Dude. AGREE.

I originally thought that MC was referring to Red Tea = Red China. I found this from Wikipedia.

In English, red tea normally refers to rooibos tea.

Red tea may also refer to:
Remember that Black Tea is what you get at most restaurants. Lipton, Louisianne, etc. I did not know about the tie to meth. Does drinking lots of tea make me a meth addict?

It's an acquired taste. Like beer. Most people didn't like either when they were little kids. (and shouldn't have been sampling the beer as little kids in the first place...)

Best I've ever had was when a friend's wife from Bengularu, India mixed up some sort of local Chai tea (local for over there anyway). He said she makes it real good--did she ever! And she's a doctor! Almost a taste of heaven.

Believe it or not, HEB brand has a good tea. I make sun tea 5x a week, prefer it over lusianne and lipton

I've mostly switched from US to German to British tea, but I've always liked Sleepytime - even when I was a kid. It's good stuff. Can't get it over here, and I haven't seen it sold on base either.

Sleepy Time is decent and it does put you to sleep. And sense I once worked for the conglomerate that owns Twinnings I'll add my 2 cents. I could get as much as any Twinnings T as I wanted for free so I tried plenty of it all, every flavor. I got tired of it all, even the English Breakfast, which is consistently ranked among the top of grocery store selections.

That said, the best T I've ever had was at the Iguana Cafe in River North Chicago and I've never had anything else that compares, even in Europe. One sip and you just go WOW, that's real T. Of course it was expensive and no free refills. It's one T I could never get tired of. There's nothing you can buy in a groc. store in the US that can compare. Maybe Deez can find something over there as I imagine IG has it imported from Europe somewhere. But that's the only thing I've had where I can say WOW, that's real T.
