TCU brand of baseball

Dogpile aside, I am liking their brand of baseball.

Strong leadership behind the plate and that's where it all starts. Freshman pitcher that stares down the batter before seating him.

Throwing behind the runner. Hitting in the clutch.

Not much here to not like. I hope our guys are watching, and maybe Dodds should take some notes for future reference.

Not sure yet I want them to win it all (because of some jackassery by a few fans and players), but it's good to see some home state boys grind out these wins.

I agree with you, 84 Horn. I have mixed feelings rooting for this TCU team. They are Texas players and their style of ball has been fun to watch. I hope they enjoyed their time in Omaha.

true, especially the way they grind it out in the batter's box. Winkler was a mystery to me. He had that gaudy record, but wasn't he the pitcher we beat?

So, he had basically nothing his last three starts. If he has a good outing today, I think the game would have been even. TCU's relievers hung in there pretty well, until late.

That UCLA pitcher was incredible!!! I want some of what he has for breakfast!!
And how about that long throwing before today's game? Never heard of a pitcher doing that the day of the game.

Happy those kids from Texas high schools got to experience college baseball at the highest level.

I don't think any of the teams on the other side of the bracket have a chance against UCLA. This should end Tuesday night.

It is Augie's job as long as he wants it.

With that said, I would have to think he has < 5 years until he retires. I'd put Schlossnagle on my short list of replacements, but I have to think some Pac10, SEC, ACC or B12-2 school (worst fear...aTm) will come tap him on the shoulder before we do.

why would he leave? He sought out the TCU job, not the other way around. He wants to be in FW. New stadium, with an expansion already in the works. Easy state to recruit. Great campus to recruit to. Losing TCU's best recruiter to UH will be tough though.
