Taylor Jungmann is coldblooded

Announcers started waxing poetic on him at the end of the game. He does look like a future MLB stud.

Taylor has what it takes here and in the pros.

Jungmann is a awesome. I remember watching the Varsity-Alumni game way back at the beginning of the year and thinking 'wow' when that kid was throwing.

He has 10 wins this year and he was not even a regular starter until about half way.

BTW once a player goes to play College Baseball the pros cannot draft him again until he turns 21.

The first thing I looked for this morning was the Taylor F'n Youngman thread. Wow! What a two-game performance, and last night 5 2/3 of two-hit ball. He was completely in control, although there were a couple of very well hit long fly balls. He is the Horns mvp so far, hope he continues in that mode.

The relievers did a superb job of shutting down ASU last night after they got the 6-0 lead. Hard to gripe with any of the body of work. Jungmann did a very nice job of cooling off the ASU hitters so they offense could put it away with the late runs. I'll admit I felt a lot more confident at 10-6 then I would have at 7-6 in the ninth.

The kid is super talented. He should be an ace next season.

Doubt they will want to use him on Friday after pitching 5 innings. But would imagine they use him again on Saturday if necessary and during championship series Monday-Wednesday. He will be counted on again, no doubt.

I live in Georgetown. Last year, we followed GT's high school baseball team through the playoffs while Taylor and Morgan Mickan (sp?) were playing for the Eagles. I remember thinking about his chances of being a stud at Texas because he dominated in HS. Now, the nation is watching what a incredible pitcher he is becoming. I'm glad we'll have him for 2 more years. He has a chance to break alot of records at UT.

I hope Belt goes. It is his time and he is a 5th rounder which is a good place to start.

The entire infield outside of Loy will have to be replaced but frankly Loy is all we really need anyway

I just hope we have a better solution than moving Loy back to 3rd base and putting Hernandez at short. Loy is already one of the best defensive shortstops in college baseball, and it would be a real shame if we can't find a suitable replacement for Torres at 3rd.

Wow I could have sworn Hernandez was a Senior.

Hernandez has a proven track record of being a sub-par infielder. He should play in the outfield if he plays at all.

I like the guy. Completely. If he was the quarterback of the "other sport"

at UT.... bad news for the other team. Forever.

The guy is just great to watch the whole time he's on the mound.
