Wow, no post with his new middle name?

Kid pitched a heck of a game last night, was just un-friggin-believable.

Question. They kept saying he was from Temple, yet the Texas rooster has him listed going to Georgetown H.S. So is mom and/or dad a teacher in Gtown? Anyone know the scoop on this?

I dunno if anybody's mentioned this yet - I haven't seen it, anyway - but this is Jungmann's THIRD consecutive game to win - he was the WP in the last TCU game, and both at CWS so far.

Maybe SUPER-F'N, ya reckoin?

I like watching him pitch. He has a different demeanor as he goes through his motions following a pitch. The whole routine from pitch-to-pitch. Every detail telegraphs a calm poise with total focus and confidence.

You know how pitchers do certain things... maybe at the belt, the shoulders of the uni, the cap, and so forth.

Then I like his slow windup and movement toward delivery which appears hardly any motion at all... until the ball suddenly rifles to the plate, and more in the strike zone than trying to move it around. He attacks the zone and gets the batter behind in the count.

I seldom get caught up in a pitcher, but this guy is going to keep my interest for as long as he plays ball.

After he got the call for that last TCU game, after his demeanor, what he said about confidence, and the way he handled that game -- and what's he's become every since -- this guy is nails. He's scary. He's the man.

I sat up last night and replayed the game and just enjoyed watching him pitch.

I think Augie is going to plan the rest of the CWS around Taylor's pitching. Right now he seems the most dominant pitcher on the staff. Whatever he "wills"... is the way it's going to be.

That look on his face... "Look at me. Look at me... I'm the one telling you how it is."

He's like a young Randy Johnson, only right handed. . . oh and has some personality. . . um some class as well. On second thought he's tall!

I love C. Rupp but Jungmann should have been the player of the game. And those announcers drove me crazy - they talked about everything except the game. What a bunch of losers!

Hell, keep 'im in the pen... let him come on in relief to win the next three games and be the only pitcher in history to be 6-0 in the CWS. That'd be one unlikely to be broken, wouldn't it?

After watching him pitch the TCU game I feel he can pitch any game we need him to. Is pitching with extreme confidence and toughness.

Hook'em!!!

Nice, Chest.

Much deserved "bumpage" for Taylor. Dude once again proves that anonymous Big 12 coach knew what he was talking about when he was quoted in the super regional scouting report as saying Taylor playing college ball was a "failure" on the part of Major League Baseball.

And to think: we've got this kid for two more seasons!!!!!!!

Congrats to Taylor he pitched one hell of a gem. If it hadn't been for the errors in the field he would have had a shutout.

Apparently Georgetown H.S. is located in Temple. Is Temple H.S. located in Georgetown? I would assume so.

No actually Gerogetown HS is 35 miles South of Temple.

Taylor was lights out. His confidence is amazing. He told the MLB teams that he was going to college. He's smart and knows what he wants.. Great game Taylor....
