They all suck. They are basically high school grads hired as temps to run a quick tax return. If you won't do it yourself - (if you know anyone who has TurboTax - it's pretty good for a basic personal return), I would suggest talking to an actual accountant. They are about as cheap, and will typically do a better job. Jeff Meador has a good reputation, over off of Exposition & Windsor. 472-0795.
They are all pretty competitive, although I think Taxbrain.com might have the edge, especially when you try to figure in software rebates and such, very confusing. You don’t need to use software with them, just do it right there onsite. They’ve been around for some time and I know they don’t use high school grads
If you make less than 35K/yr (which some on here might), they have to e-file you for free. Google "IRS free return" and you'll find it. H&R block's online system can't be beat. It's pretty simple.
