Tax payer relief....

So I got a letter last week from the IRS saying that I was getting like $200 for the tax payer relief and that I would get it before July 5. Haven't got it yet.

But I am surprised though b/c when doing my taxes on TurboTax I thought that it calculated how much I would get and took that off what I owed in taxes. ???

I haven't got my return yet but I was surprised to see that I was getting anything from the IRS. Of course, if I do get one I won't be upset.

If you're talking about the economic stimulus package checks, Turbo Tax did not take that off what you owed for last year. You can't mainly because it works out as a reduction on what you owe this year.

Yeah that was what I was referring to. Ok, well then I'll be a couple hundred dollars richer. Now when do I get it?

I saw my parents yesterday and my dad was saying that he was supposed to get his check months ago but has yet to receive it.

just got mine on Monday 7/7. Took a while, but it came in. If you wrote a check to pay for taxes this year, it took longer to receive.

The wife & I still haven't gotten our Stimulus check. When should we expect it??? We filed through turbotax.

My dad was supposed to receive it like 6 weeks ago per a letter from the IRS. Who should he contact to find out what happened?
