Tattoo Removal

Has anyone had this procedure done? How well did it work, what did it cost, etc..? I live in Houston, so any recommendations for a doctor would be greatly appreciated as well.

Surprising that as a college student ten years ago in South Padre, and after several shots of tequila, playing golf with clients never entered the thought process. Wearing khaki pants to hide what's on my ankle sucks when its 80+ degrees outside.

Thinking that Micky Mouse tattoo on your ankle might give clients the wrong impression?

Never understood why people would spend so much to get a tattoo removed. Much less get one they would be ashamed to show off in the first place.

I have a small (about 1-1.5 inch diameter) tattoo on my back/shoulder that I am still in the process of removing. The annoying part is that it takes multiple sessions depending on the size of the tattoo and depth of ink penetration. I have had four sessions total so far, each costing about $200. The tattoo has definitely faded, but I am told I will probably have to have around 4 to 6 more treatments to have it totally removed. I am sure the cost varies with size and I think it also depends on how many colors are incorporated. It's a pain and everytime I drop a couple hundred dollars for this I regret my decision to get a tattoo even more. I am gettting married within the next year and I really want the thing gone so I am willing to spend the money. I don't want a gross tattoo ruining a perfectly gorgeous wedding dress!

Pretend you're, like, 80 and wear those high black socks with garters to cover the tat.

Message to anyone who thinks about getting a tattoo when they are drunk. DONT! If you know it's not a good idea to drive while ****** up, dont go mark yourself for good, with Mighty Mouse or something stupid like that.

I have several tags, love them all, and I will be the first to tell you not to get one on a whim. I also know of very few people who have gotten a tattoo under the age of about 20, that still likes it after 10 years. The point, wait to get something like that.

As far as removal, that is going to be about 4 times as expensive to remove than it was to get. Most of the time, they cant get ALL of it either. They can get most of it, but you may always have some residual marking there.

My brother in law is a plastic surgeon and he does laser tatoo removal in his office here in Houston. You can PM me if you want his information. We had a friend who had a pretty wild tattoo that my BIL removed for him. The results are quite good if you do not hav a whole lot of color i.e. lots of red and other colors. The basic black and white ones come off pretty easily. The colors require several treatments.

How does the tune go...."a permanent reminder of a temporary feeling". Or something like that.
