So one of my favorite things to do when making a meal is taking something relatively healthy, in this case a turkey burger, and making it un-healthy and delicious..
Here we go. And just to make sure this thread is not worthless, pics have been added.
Turkey Burgers with Bacon and onion compote with a side of roasted rosemary potatoes.
1. Quartered/ Eighted some red potatoes:
2. Soaked up the water with a paper towel
Tossed with olive oil, salt, pepper, dried Italian herbs and fresh rosemary.
Turned out on a pan lined with parchment paper.
Into a 400 degree oven, for ~45 minutes, flipping halfway through.
3. Cooked chopped bacon in skillet, reserving the goodness for step 4
4. Saute sliced red onions in drippings. Added balsamic vinegar, molasses and a hit of worcester.
5. Grill burgers thoroughly over charcoal. Add cheese of your choice. I'd suggest something with bite.
