anyone know a good place to get tamales in Austin?

Believe or not Central Market has pretty good tamales. I picked up 4 dozen last time I was in Austin and I still have 2 dozen left. Hey, that's what I will have while watching the Horns Sunday afternoon.

The Texican cafe in/on Manchaca has tamales. They're OK -- maybe a little better than Rosies.

The thing that I LIKE about the Texican is the Queso flameado.
It is really good.

I didn't say the texican was good.

I said it was OK. I was just trying to offer another suggestion.

I hate the place too, but my wife likes it (I don't know why) so I end up there every now and then. I'm allergic to one of thier sauces, so I don't have a high opinion of the place.
