Tailgating Etiquette

Never been to a tailgate before, always walked to games as a student, and haven't been to one since I graduated (two years ago). My brother, who now lives in Idaho, is coming back to Texas for the first time in three years to see his first Longhorn game this weekend. Never went to UT, but is a die-hard Texas fan.

Our plan is to park wherever we can near the stadium and wander over to the tailgates and hang out there before the game. I'm guessing we'll be pretty welcome anywhere, provided we bring our own beer? Maybe trade one of our beers for one of yours, maybe trade one or two for a sausage wrap or something?

Just not sure exactly how it usually works, and I don't wanna be the ******* who crashes the party or anything. Of course, I do know most Texas folks are pretty welcoming in general. Anything yall think we should know/do? Any particular spots/tailgates we should check out?

A decent parking spot, though $7, is at 17th and Colorado. There are massive tailgates across from there, and if you walk about a block or so, you can check out all the other tailgates, Bevo Blvd, and Scholtz's.

I'm sure you can get better feedback, but this is my 2 cents. Have a great time!!!

You're more than welcome to swing by our tailgate on Trinity @ 18th Street. Just bring a personal supply of booze and that'll be good enough. It's Texas Inebriated Tailgater Society, we'll have a couple of banners up with our name. Satellite TV, bbq, washers+ladder golf, etc. PM me if you want some more details.

Two thumbs up for the "TITS" crew. I hung out with them at the National Championship and I had a GREAT time. They were a great group of people.
