Thinking about going later in March (probably 3/19 through 3/23). Anyone know if there's still good snow for skiing around that time?

Thanks for any feedback.

i have no idea but i'm guessing this year will still be great since all of CA has been pounded this winter.

i went to heavenly in march a couple years back. first day was patchy - some crappy runs, some just fine. that night we got like 4 feet that night - it was awesome for the rest of the time.

It should be decent. We've been getting a lot a lot of rain here in the bay area, which means fresh snow in the mountains.

Check out some of the nearby resorts. Sugar Bowl, Kirkwood, and Squaw are getting pounded also.
If you rent skis, DON'T rent from Powderhouse rentals, unless you can afford the demo package. Their mid range "Sport" package was garbage skis.
We got discount lift tickets at the REI in Reno, which is conveniently located right next to the airport.
Try the Indian food at Nikki's Chaat cafe. It's small, but good.

we were in Tahoe last year about a week before your timeframe. The snow was incredible. They had been pounded recently and we had fresh powder 2 of the 3 days we skied.

here are some pics...
