I have a 2001 Tahoe and absolutely love it, however, I'd be hesitant to buy a 2005 unless you're going to drive it until it dies. Chevy is changing the body style for 2006 so the resale value of the 1999-2005 body style will drop a pretty good amount when the 2006 is released. If you're going to keep the 2005 a long time, go for it. If you like to change cars every few years, I'd look elsewhere or hole off until 2006.

My 2002 Tahoe Z71 kicks ***. It replaced a 1998 4-Runner. No problems whatsoever- and (at the time)- was a better deal than I could get on a Sequoia.

Only downside is keeping the nieghborhood aggy kids from stealing the Z71 emblems to wear as necklaces.

Does anyone know if the stabilitrak that they now offer is actually worth it vs. the Z71 model with does not offer it?
