Murphy: "He's the first one in the building and the last one out. I think everybody would say the same thing. Hands down, one of the hardest workers on our team. You know, I think his confidence in himself to just know that he can make every throw on the field is really, really cool. I think the other thing is the whole locker room loves him. I think everybody in the locker room would say that they have a personal connection with Maalik, and that's really cool. He's not a people pleaser, but he's just a positive guy, and everybody attracts towards him and wants to be around him and wants to be his friend. So that's

I want Maalik to be as calm as possible and not try too hard.

The good thing about this game is it’s a home game, BYU is not that strong and he has a ton of talent around him.
We need the DBs to get healthy.

I think what was said above is absolutely true - just stay calm. I’m sure at kickoff his pulse will be sky high he has wanted his shot for so long. Just give him time his first series and I’m anticipating great things. Sometimes you can want something too much and that is my fear more than whether or not he’s capable. He’s got the skills and talent just needs to keep cool and let er rip!
