White is not really a color, technically speaking. And it's not really a color in people's minds, either. So that guy is a bonehead (or, more generously speaking, simply a flack) and there are three schools in the country whose color is orange.

When I think of UT's "colors," I think of burnt orange. White is more of a necessary accoutrement if you don't want another color.
