Does anyone have suggestions for fun restaurants/bars?

My suggestion for Sydney is to skip the bars and restaurants, grab some beer or Prosecco and head out to Bondi Beach. Better to be outdoors "down under."

yes, go to the establishment hotel. they have an allsome bar with loads of people.

If you want more of an LA scene, establishment is the way to go. We stayed there on our visit and had a great time.

grab a water taxi from Circular Quay and head over to Catalina restaurant on Rose Bay. Great food, great views and there is something fun about arriving at a restaurant on a water taxi.

Bar-wise, you have to have a beer at Fortune of War. It is touristy, I guess, but it has beer around since 1828. It is down in the Rocks district.

I think most of the Prosecco in town has already been consumed by Mrs. Jethro!
