Anyone see anything? What'd you like?
I saw 'No Crossover, the Trial of Allen Iverson' and really enjoyed it. I've enjoyed all the ESPN 30for30 docs, as they tend to tell the smaller stories in sports. I, not having followed basketball at all, was surprised to hear how close Iverson was to basically never being able to make it to the NBA (if he had served 5 years). The doc will air April 16. I'm also excited about checking out 'One Night in Vegas' which is another 30for30 doc about Tyson/Tupac.
I also saw 'The Freebie' which was about a couple who decided to each have a one-night-stand in the hopes of re-energizing their own relationship. The movie was good and really well done, but also uncomfortable to watch as a married man. Dax Shepard was really good in it, and I was surprised to find out that there was no script, just a 6-page outline. The film was purchased at Sundance, and apparently will be shown in Austin at some point incase you're interested in checking it out.
I'm looking to see 'Saturday Night', 'Lemmy', and maybe a few others, so I'm curious what y'all have seen.
After reading all the crazy reviews of 'A Serbian Film' I'm not sure if I'm happy or sad I missed seeing it. Did anyone catch it?
