When it comes to a 2 seed in Houston vs. a 1 seed somewhere else, that isn't Aggy! (on many different levels)

I don't understand the "aggyness" about this. What are your priorities? Increasing probability of doing well in the tournament or winning regular season games?

Nobody is HAPPY that we lost, but we can at least find solace at the fact that this helps us get the 2 seed. And if we get the 2 seed, we WILL be in the South regional.

Your newsletter could be subscribed to. I like the tought of watching the Horns in person, in Texas (if it happens) than on TV as the 1 seed. If that 1 is Memphis they are not happy to have us as the 2. We are "that" team this year.

People always use "aggy" out of context. This is a silver lining after a bad game. Of course, TTU had the game of their life, shot 30 more FT's than us and hit almost all of them to win, but we should have won. I am very proud of our comeback and if Gary Johnson doesn't lose his head then we may get a stop there and a three to win.

Everything today was not bad. If this loss drops us to a #2 seed in Houston then some of us will still be VERY happy. Nothing aggy about that at all, not much difference between a #1 & #2 seed.

I'll be the first to rip. It is aggyish. For one how much of a home court advantage will it be. You guys don't show up to the Erwin Center for games, what will make it any different. The hardcores will show up in Houston like they would in Phoenix so 1 or 2, it doesn't matter.

Yeah the problem is if Memphis is the number one in the South this year, I am not sure Texas will be the number two in the South. Remember Memphis was a 2 last year and had to play a 3 in Aggy in San Antonio. You wonder if the committee will do the same thing around this time.

#2 seed in Houston is NOT guaranteed by any means.

We, like most teams, dont play as well on the road. Yes we have won many road games, but Mizz, TT, MSU, aggie. Our main goal is to get into the Houston regional. I would rather be a #3 seed in Houston. I dont know y some care about a #1 or 2 or 3 seed when we have a chance to play at "home". There is not that much of a diff btw a 2 and a 3 seed. I know some want a 1 seed for ego, but screw that, just get to Houston.
We have pretty much lost our 1 seed now, so if you win out 2 home games vs Neb, Osu, and at least 1 or 2 games in the big 12 tourney we should look like a solid 2 seed. Hopefully we will look solid to be placed in Houston. IF this happens, you know other schools will wine about it.
Also, our last 2 games are not easy. Neb has beaten some teams this year so we still have our business to take care of. If we lose another game in the next 4 we will not be in Houston.

Losing to a Tech team which is not very good late the year basically says you are not a number 1 seed but UT needs to play well and win the last 2 games and in the Big 12 tournament to get a 2 seed. They played bad against Tech and deserved to lose IMO.

It's all about expectations. You do what you can and take the seed that you get.

A two would still be outstanding for this team. They're about four games ahead of where I thought they'd be before the season.

If people choose to be ticked off, that's fine, but I'm not going to join them.

I can't believe how many here seem to be happy that we lost a horrid game to a bad team because somehow they think this "guarantees" we'll be sent to Houston.

I'll bookmark this thread for use when our punishment for having a second "bad" loss on our resume gets us sent to Phoenix to play in UCLA's regional.
