I loved that story of a hopeful, young karate enthusiast whose dreams and moxie take him all the way to the All-Valley Karate Championship. Of course, he loses in the final round to that nerd kid. But he learns an important lesson about accepting defeat.

There are a couple of things that always bugged me about that money. For one thing, right after Daniel gets his butt whipped by Johnny at the beach and the people he is hanging out with talk smack by saying " Where did you find this guy?" Like any of them would have had the guts to fight Johnny. The other thing is the scene where Johnny and his buddies ride Daniel off the hill with their bikes and he didn't do anything after that. I would have gone to school and shot someone. Just saying...
