Surgery for C.J. Wilson...

Looks like CJ has made the decision to go ahead with the surgery now - The Link. I assume this means Everyday Eddie will close for the remainder of this season.

According to the release, he should be recovered and ready for Spring training next year. This is the right move for the future - the chances for the wild card this season are very slim, while the early outlook for next season should be more promising.

At least this might partially explain why he has sucked for the better part of this season compared to '07. I'm hopeful he can regain the form he had at the end of last season. We'll see.
