Here we go. The first filing of certiorari is in and if the Supreme Court agrees to hear the case, then oral arguments will probably be heard in the first few months of 2012 and the final decision will be released early next summer, just as the primaries are winding up and just before the nominating conventions.
Talk about high stakes. It seems likely at this stage that the SC will throw out the individual mandate, which is the center tent poll for this political circus tent. That will effectively undermine the viability of the entire law, as it will take away it's funding. Hopefully the SC also does the American people the favor of formally overturning and killing this law once and for all at the same time.
Then hopefully we can start work on a real health care reform plan.
