Super Size Me

His man card should have been revoked when he puked after eating a super sized meal at McDonalds.

Another thing, why did he give up exercising AND start eating bad? If he wants to see what the impact of fast food would have on him, he should have kept working out as normal but then eat bad.

just one bite of McDonald's is enough for most people with tastebuds to puke. That is some righteously horrid food.

yeah, if you can eat a super sized big mac meal at mcdonald's, there is something wrong with you and the lack of respect you have for your body. how many calories and fat grams are in one of those?

Depends on which meal you get super sized. My understanding is that McDonald's doesn't offer Super Sized meals anymore. Is that true?

The only fast food I get is Whataburger or Wendy's (I only get the chili). I cannot stand McDonalds. But if the dude can't eat a super sized meal as a grown man, that's sad. Imagine him at the Salt Lick.......

went and looked out of curiosity

QP w/ cheese: 510 calories, 26 g fat, 12 g sat fat (61% drv)

large fries: 570 calories, 30 g fat, 6 g sat fat (30% drv)

large coke: 310 calories

the thing is, i think there is a large percentage of american families who eat this kind of meal (or something similar -- bucket of chicken, pizzas and wings, etc) on a regular basis as their dinner because its easy and quick.

not to say i don't ever eat junk because sometimes i do, but its as an occasional treat

Gak, I'm not disagreeing with you i'm just saying him puking after eating that was grounds for man-card removal. Like I said, I would pay for his meal at the Salt Lick.

Dude, they market it to everyone. The difference is time. Middle and upper class families are a) more often a "traditional family" and b) have one adult who has the time in the afternoon to cook. With 2 adults, one adult can be home more often even if they do work, and can then prepare a meal. If they don't have time to cook, where should these families get dinner for their kids for relatively little money? Subway? that gets old real quick and is more expensive than McDonalds - though not by much. I agree it is a problem, but I don't think it is them targeting poor areas as much as the poor areas needing a solution to their dinner problem and only being offered McDonalds, etc.

i represent a grandma in a cps case. the 3 year old is with his mom now, and he talks about having cheeseburgers and fries for breakfast, instead of cereal.

I haven't seen the movie, but from what I've heard there is so much wrong with it. I don't know if he actually presents it as a stastical study, but people definately think of it as one, when in fact it is antedotal evidence just like chad johnson eating it everyday, and the guy who lost 15 pounds. The movie may be entertaining, but doesnt really show much as far as statistics go. Too extreme on the food, to many variables, and too small of a sample size.

I love fine dining and indulge in it regularly, but I love McDonald's too. Love the Big Mac. Love the Sausage McMuffin. I ate lots of it growing up. Still do at age 38. Not that I'm partial to McDonald's. I had What-a-burger on my way home from happy hour last night. I had Jack-in-Box for breakfast this morning and Wendy's for lunch. Mmm. Mmm. Good.

I'm not at all worried about the health consequences. I figure if more people dropped dead in their 60's we could solve the Social Security shortfall.

It is difficult because of the ease in which people can get this food.

There is a fast food restaurant on every corner, and its cheap.

So people without money are suckered in.
Kind of like taking an alcholic to a wine tasting.

They have no choice in their minds.
