Summer Leagues

Where are our players going to be this summer? Anyone have a list of who is player where?

I spoke to Bruce Ruffin yesterday and he said Chance is trying out for the US National Team in New Hampshire. If he does not make the squad he will be playing in a league in Nebraska. That is the only one I know of.

The Santa Barbara Forresters generally have several UT players on their roster. Workman and Rowe are listed on the Wareham Gateman roster in the Cape and Belt on the Harwich Mariners roster. Generally Texas Sports puts out a list but they havent as of yet. But all the summer leagues are about to kick off and get started or already have.

Article in the Santa Barbara Daily Sound mentioned that Hernandez and Torres would both be on the roster. June 10 game shows Torres in the line-up 1 for 4 with an error but no Hernandez. Also Keyes in LF but no first name and no information. Sure hope all of our boys of summer are improving their skills somewhere!!!

Ruffin to the Beatrice Bruins if he doesn't make Team USA? Don't wish him ill but we'd get to see him if he plays for Beatrice. Lotta good Texas players summered there.
