Suggestions On Rock Veneer For Interior

I am going to tackle the fireplace and the bar area with some rock veneer. My thoughts are either chopped ledge or flagstone. I have seen the chopped ledge attached to a mesh backing to where one would lay it straightforward like tile. Anyone know of a source? Does anyone know of a source for flagstone veneer say an 1" or less in thickness. Any suggestions as to stone selection to application are appreciated.

There is a new synthetic veneer I think from pavestone that you can buy at home depot in several stone styles. My wife wants to use the brick in our entry.

I put this stuff up when I remodeled our fireplace....I believe there's only one dealer in Austin up off Braker.

I've noticed a lot of the new higher end commercial developments in the Valley have used this product:

Eldorado Stone

I know a builder we represent says this is his favorite veneer product to use.
