Suggestion for getting rid of spiders ?

I was mowing along the side of my house last night, think I found a major spider nest with some big ******** in there.

I'm scared shitless of spiders. I'd rather be in a dark alley with a serial killer than have to come in contact with spiders.

Short of hiring an exterminator, what can I do to bomb these nasty f'ers out ?

I hate those ******** as well. So much that I have dreams and wake myself up thinking there are spiders crawling on me. I am sure there is some spray you can get at HD or Lowes that you mix with water in a pressure cansiter that will take care of them.

I hear water spouts are effective, but not permanent. Once the sun comes out, they always come back up again.

How can you tell if they're poisonous ?

I'm such a pansy.

I'd say leave 'em alone unless they look like this:

Brown Recluse, actual size about 3/8"

Or this:

Black Widow, actual size as large as 1-1/2" or so... And only the female is a problem.

And I would leave the Black Widows alone, unless I had no choice.

Almost all spiders are poisonous, that's how they kill the bugs they eat.
