Sugar Bowl

Just rewatched some of last year's Sugar Bowl. Some Notes:

We really miss Chalres Ohmenieu
We miss most of the secondary who knew how to defend/tackle
The offensive line was better
Sam played with more happiness

Anyone else watch it lately?

Also it is now more clear to me how devistating the secondary injuries are. It was a lot to expect this secondary to replace the likes of Locke, Boyd, etc with new starters, much less their backups or their backups' backups

We had some very fortunate things in the Sugar starting with the punter putting his knee down. Fumbles and we had no turn overs. I didn't watch the game on Sat as I could feel this one coming and I fished instead. But when I looked at the box score and saw 4 pics I knew we have no chance to win with this team and that many turnovers. We survived the 2 drop punts against OSU, but 4 turnovers gets you beat every time. Hopefully Sam gets it back together and with the starters back we play better D. With that said, this D doesn't get fixed until we change the scheme and get better DEs and LBs. Aggs have had Vonn Miller and Garret last decade. We desperately need someone like that to get pressure on the QB.

Agree 245, the two I have pointed out that we did not appreciate how much we’d miss were Ohmeniu and LJH. But the secondary was also nails. We have a few years to get back at that level imo. But we could be closer!!!

LJH wasn't just his pass catching. It was his mentality. In the Sugar where he catches that pass and the OLine push him forward another 10 yds, it energized the entire team and told Georgia we're here baby.
