My automatic door locks on my suburban are not working. This is the second time this as happened to me in Suburbans. Any ideas on how to fix without taking it into the shop?

Also, anyone know how to get rid of the :service engine light?" I know there is nothing wrong with the truck (except the door locks).

i know all too well about surbuban doors crappin out. My parents '97 burban has had both front door handles break on the inside. They are completely loose and off their hinges, f'n pathetic. Also, we have had to replace the battery numerous occasions and have talked to other owners that say they carry an extra battery around just b/c of that.

My check engine light has been on in my silverado for a good while now, but i figure that has to do w/ the 157K miles on a '99 more than anything, still runnin like a beaut.

Had same problem with my tahoe locks not working. Check both switches and see if one side works. If so, it could be the switch wires are loose from the switch. You can remove the panel from the door and check the back..

you should have bought a Canyonero. it smells like a steak and seats 35. so someone could always be in there to pop the lock.
