Student NC Ticket Disappointment

I was just wondering if any other seniors with a lot of hours were turned down for NC tickets. Seems to me when they specified classification they not only meant by just senior, junior, etc but that it also went by hours. Appearantly they just took all the seniors and did a lottery. Disappointed that I am a graduating double major senior with a ton of hours and got turned down. I know a lot of people who are upset about how the process went down. What is everyone else's thoughts about the process?

I graduated in May. Had I been lazy and failed some classes I would still be in school this semester and be in position to get tickets but no, I got my *** out of bed and went to class. I'm very very mad at myself

Thought about not going to my last final and failing this class so I could do the same thing buttttttt law school is just too tempting.

If I were king, the majority of the school's bowl allotment would go to students. Basketball games would be played in Gregory Gym with half the seats given away to students. And I graduated over 20 years ago. I just think college athletics should mainly be for the benefit of the students attending the school at the time.

If that were the case, maybe I would go back to work on a third undergrad degree. I have over 200 hours of undergrad work and over 60 hours of graduate credit. Heck, i would be at the front of the list.....

I told all you current students this **** was going to happen in every single thread leading up to the draw where people were saying "oh, I'm a 5th year senior, I'll get tickets".

Didn't happen in 05, knew it wouldn't happen here.

That's what I read.

IMO, less than half of all tickets going to the participating schools is BS. If more had been allocated to the schools, I would've liked more given to the students. Oh well...

It was a lottery, and you lost. Plus, if they went by number of hours, there would be dooshbags that never graduate, take 3 or 6 hours a semester just to get guaranteed bowl tickets.

technically I didn't "lose" since I didn't pay...I was DENIED...O THE MISERY, I CAN'T TAKE THE PAINNNNN. I'm going to go cry in a dark corner somewhere now and then study.

Probably the difference between a "Bowl" game and a "Championship" game. Bowl game = reward for both schools. Championship game = serious business to conduct. I'd imagine that a certain number of tickets are alloted all over the country for this game.

I didn't get tickets when I was a senior in 05. I had a great time watching it on TV anyway, and 6th was going nuts after the game.

Tis not the end of the world.

At least you didn't miss the priority deadline -- I thought it was December 12th, but it was the 2nd. The worst part is that I think I would have had an excellent chance in getting them as I have had student season tickets for the last four years. ;/

Sucks, but whatever. I anticipate Austin being a great place to be (Second to Pasadena of course) on January 6th after we win.
