Stubbs hits bomb in AAA all-star game

At least that's what a friend told me. Anybody know how other Horns are doing in the minors? Good to hear Drew was selected to the game and did some big things.

He hit a two run homer in a 6-5 win...he also pulled in a fly ball for an out in right field, then threw in to first base for a double play. I don't know if they had an MVP for the game, but he should have been considered for it.

With Jay Bruce out for the next 6-8 weeks, I'm a little surprised Stubbs hasn't gotten the call to the bigs. He can't be too far away from being ready.

I am liking Stubbs this year. It seems the Reds have managed to get his hitting turned around. He still strikes out at a high rate but no longer a ridiculously high rate and that bodes well.

I sense a call up after the rosters expand and hopefully he never plays in the minors again.

Still remember that catch Drew made in the 2005 CWS against Baylor, where he threw to 2nd for a DP. The face on that Baylor player was priceless.
