Stubhub is very reputable, and they have a good guarantee that I've had to use before on some misrepresented tix. They'll be more expensive and the fees will suck, but you'll be legit.
Not to hijack your thread but I'm in the same situation as squib. I know the obvious options like Ticket Master, Ticket City, and Stub Hub but where else should I look? I'm a little scared of trying to but them at the stadium...
i bought mine off stubhub in the second half of the osu game. they were 550 + fees = 600. if you're looking i would buy them now, just checked again and they were already up to 820. good luck.
DVP - that's what I want to do; go ahead and snacth some up.
But does anyone know which sections are reserved for Texas?
I have no hatred for 'Bama, but I don't want to sit next them.
I've used them many times, with great results both selling and buying. Sellers recieve 85% of the sale price with fedex paid by Stubhub, Buyers pay 110% of the sale price + I think buyers pay for shipping.
Good to hear as I bought my ticket through Stubhub about a month ago for an arm and a leg. Needless to say, I wasn't a happy camper through the second half of the Big 12 title game.
DISCLAIMER - I know nothing, but it will be interesting to see where seat prices are around Christmas. The reason tickets for the 2006 game were expensive and hard to come by was the USC factor and the fact it was the Rose Bowl Game.
This time it is a week after the Rose Bowl and USC will be licking their wounds from an Emerald Bowl defeat at the hands of Boston College. I have a hard time accepting that there will be a strong demand for 90k Bama/Texas people. If there is, the hotel prices will go up higher than the ticket prices.
heh. Probably better safe than sorry. I don't know what I'm going to do. I've been bugging every single person I know. Like someone is going to say "sure, I have some tix for ya!!"
For those that bought tickets from Stub Hub for the last Rose Bowl, how was the ticket pickup process? I am trying to plan out my transportation to the game and want to know if I will have to pick up the ticket on the same day as the game.
If you buy in advance of the game, you will get your tickets by fed-ex within a couple of days. If you order close to the day of the game, there should be a local pick-up place in the LA area (it also costs more in fees).
Believe Section 18-24 are on the Alabaman side. Ticket City says the Horns bench will be in front of Sections 4 and 5 (which is why I think Sections 18-24 are Bama sections).
Bama fans are going to travel well. I talked to an old fraternity brother (we went to a small Division III school -- I'm a lifelong Horn fan and he's a lifelong Bama fan) and he was the last person on a particular charter package going to the game from Mobile. That was on Sunday and he didn't buy the package until that day. As crazy as we are about our Horns, they're equally as crazy about the Tide. The game atmosphere should be awesome for those going there (wish I could afford to join you).
