Strike two, Alabama...

But will that happen??? If Bama makes it, then No--no B10 or Pac12---imo more chaos the better

tOSU getting in last year set a bad precedent. Penn St. was the Big 10 Champ, had 2 losses and was left out. So this year, the same argument could be made to keep OSU or perhaps Georgia, out and put Bama in. This whole system is stupid. Take 4 conference winners, regardless of record. Even then, there’s the subjective argument of which 4 of the 5 power conferences winners are in?

And Bama shouldn’t be in since they only played 12 games and too many OOC games against weak programs. For God’s sake, they played Mercer!! That’s a D2 program IIRC. SCREW THEM!

So, TCU misses out the first year because the Big XII didn't have a championship game and their OOC games was weak.

Alabama gets in this year after missing it's conference championship game and having weak OOC.

Basically, the committee is telling us that it doesn't matter if you win your conference and play a weak OOC scheduled as long as you are Alabama you will get in if you only have one loss.

I think the Big XII needs to reevaluate its championship game and everybody needs to retool their OOC schedule.

Utter horse ****. I am not watching the playoffs or championship game this year because of the obvious bias towards a certain team and conference.

They got the 4 right teams.
How? Why even have conferences if winning it means little? The B1G for two straight years doesn't send it's own champion to the playoff and was arguably the best conference last year. Penn St. IMHO was one of the best 4 teams at the end of the year.

The committee won't admit to this but they are more concerned about the win-loss record and who the team is more than any criteria they spew out of their collective asses.

I think they got it right. I don't see how you can put a two-loss Ohio State over a one-loss Alabama. The facts are that the blue-bloods do get the benefit of the doubt. The SEC is a tough conference as is the Big Ten. Alabama lost on the road to their hated rival who probably gave the same type of out of body experience effort against them that Aggy does against the Longhorns. Nick Saban doesn't need a favor. His roster is stacked and they will represent.

Easy, tOSU won their conference and Alabama didn't even win their division within the conference. No need to make it anymore complicated than that.

Of course, tOSU has two wins against the current top 10 teams and Alabama has no wins against top 10 teams.

But those two top ten teams (Wisconsin and Penn State?) rose up without defeating a top ten team and in my view were just the beneficiaries of the attrition around them including Ohio States losses to OU and Iowa. Alabama defeated a then #3 ranked Florida State though that loss has now lost all it's luster. Who did Penn State or Wisconsin beat?

If it's supposed to be the best teams, then conference title doesn't necessarily win out...didn't Ohio State get in last year while in the same boat Alabama was this year? With conference sizes being what they are, a team like Wisconsin goes 12-0 while not playing the toughest schedule. Auburn beat Georgia and Alabama at home, but lost to LSU, Clemson, and Georgia. It may be true that 8 teams would help weed out the problems, but then #9 has something to say.....Just sayin', Alabama has proved themselves this year, losing to Auburn away shouldn't eliminate them......

Who did Bama prove themselves against? The only top 10 team they played was Aurburn and they lost. Florida State as we now know was not a top 10 team. Looking at the final rankings their best win is against LSU at #17.
