We're gonna lead this game for a significant amount of time. Depending upon how long we lead, it might be a great ending.

i placed $500 on ou. i'd give Texas 5 points too.
this team hasn't shown me anything that they're on the level ou will bring to our court.

it amazes me people give us a chance. what the hell does vegas know that we don't?

I'd love to see a win, but I have the same pit in my stomach feeling for this game that I did for the Aggie game in College Station. This group simply doesn't have an identity they can lean on which will lead to success. I don't have any confidence it's suddenly going to coalesce at this stage of the season.

All I want is for them to somehow sneak into the NCAA tournament. A win tonight would almost cinch it, but even with a loss they can get in by beating Baylor, Texas Tech, and Oklahoma State.
 
OU would have 4 losses in the Big East. They're a product of the B12 being awful this season. The fact that they may end up at #1 next week is pretty funny.
 
However down the Big 12 has been, I'm impressed by OU's season. I didn't think the guards would be able to play as well as they have. They've proven me completely and utterly wrong.

I do think it's somewhat of a down year in college basketball overall, so in that vein OU is as worthy of a #1 ranking and certainly an overall #1 seed as anyone in the country. I tip my hat off to them.
 
I think UT can absolutely win this game. I also think they have to.

If Atchley can knock down a couple of treys then that will make a big difference in the way the team advances their possessions, and they will 'discover' some things about themselves, including some of those easy points that have been absent since Atchley and, to a lesser degree of importance, Mason have gone AWOL.

I do think that AJ is going to tucker out soon, if he hasn't already. Hopefully he has a last burst for this evening.
 
How hard is it to make a wide open shot?
Do college players actually practice shooting?
Is it all mental? Would some kung fu tai chi help?
 
I told my coworkers a week ago that we'd lose the A&M game and then turn around and beat the Sooners. They told me I was smoking dope.

I just felt that you don't bet against desperate home teams.
 
i'm placing is what i meant to say.. it would've been through a bookie, but scott didn't come through. i'm ok with that.

i'd do it again though. i'm super stoked that we won, but we did it with the naismith player of the year riding the bench like simple jack.
 
correct. my friend can only bet so much in one day. i do not have an account with his bookie because i don't really bet basketball. he couldn't place the bet for me.
 
You really don't bet basketball, but you wanted $500 on this one game? Better stick to really not betting basketball. Somehow I think had you won, you would have come on here and said how easy money it was.
 
i definitely wouldn't brag about winning money at the hands of a Texas defeat. i thought it was easy money. had griffin not rode the bench, OU wins. i believe that.
 
i frequently bet against texas, if I think it is the right play. Plus. when we lose, the $$$ keeps m,e away from the razor blades. If we win, i could give two shits about the $ lost.

Of course, once in a blue moon, like last year in football, OU wins AND does not cover, which means I go all "Nicholas Cage in Leaving Las Vegas".
