Stop Calling Flagrant Fouls!

this is getting ridiculous. i understand the refs have to try and keep this thing from turning into a hockey game, but this is getting out of hand. they don't call flagrants on guys throwing elbows (Kobe) and they're calling any hard foul a malicious play - Jason Terry went for the ball at the end of the first half and game 3 of the Rockets was unnecessary. I'm not opposed to calling a tight game, but stop throwing people out and giving away free points.

The no call on Bryant is probably part of the reason why these are getting calls.

The rules are pretty simple in that you can't attack another player's face or head. I think the call on Howard was questionable, but on Terry's foul of Kleiza it didn't seem like he went after the ball at all.

Look, if you take it to the rack, you should expect a hard foul. It's the NBA, not ballet. Hits to the head or taking out your feet should get a flagrant. But hitting a guy on the arm... please. Just put a tutu on them and let them prance around the gym.

To each his own, but a mush-mouth is a mush-mouth. Much of what Barkley says lacks coherence in the Holtz vein.

The only difference I see is senility. They both certainly think the world of themselves.

I have seen more flagrant fouls called in the past week or two then in my entire 30+ years of basketball watching prior to them. It is rediculous and is killing the enjoyment of watching basketball. I'm a Rockets fans and watching that game last night between the Mavs and Nuggets should have been an awesome experience watching two heavy weights pound it out, but the refs ****** it up with all of the technical and flagrant fouls.
