stoopid firefox question

Right now, when windows etc wants to "go online" to look for a plug in etc, it opens an IE window. How to change? For example, when downloading some of the firefox plugins (foxcast, and others), windows doesn't know what to open it with. When I ok it to look for it, it does so in IE. Thanx.

I encountered this last night. Firefox wanted to open plugins with my zip program.

The solution I found is to download the plugin using "Save to disk", right-click it in the download manager, and click "Open containing folder". Then right-click the file in Windows Explorer, click "Open with..." and choose Firefox.
