Stonehenge

I say, what's the dealio on getting in and out of Stonehenge? All I could find was guided tour packages on the web out of London. The aerial photo looks like it's right off the motorway (or whatever they call it).

Is it possible to just walk up to an office in the parking lot across the road, buy a ticket, grab a brochure and go for it? Figured on taking a train to Salsbury, rent a bike and cruise on up to check it out.

Also, anyone ever been to a race at Brands Hatch? Was marinatin' on checking out a British Superbike race while I'm over there.

I've only got a weekend, so I'm fairly limitted, as far as my travel radius, and both of those places appear to be doable as day trips from the London-Gatwick Airport area.

Of course you can go there yourself, it's just like visiting a musuem.

groovy. Only people I know who've ever been did it on a bus. Glad it's not a Gorman Falls set-up.
