Still can't shoot free throws!

Couldn't hit them last year, several of the same players as last year but 19 out of 34 will get you beat when you play a good team

Returning players shot ft much better overall than those who left, particularly in conference play. Thompson has bad form, and it's unreasonable to expect Balbay to be good at it after all these years, but give it a few games before thinking it will be a season long trend for the whole team.

We were 5 shy of my "acceptable" point for a full game (70 percent). A lot of that had to do with Thompson's nerves. Brown needs to be making close to every one of them as well, instead of half.

If we're getting to the line for 34 shots, that's a good thing. We just need to keep up with the "young leaders" motif and rely on the plays. Last year's seniors did an awful job of leading by example, and the whole team suffered because of it.

Nerves?? Against Navy at home?? Christ almighty what sort of diaper is he going to wear when he has to make FTs in Big 12 or NCAA Tourney play?

This team has all the look of a middle of the road Big 12 team and a first round bounce out of the NCAA Tourney. There is no way it is top 25 material.

I hope you're joking. His first college game, televised on National TV. First real game with his new coach and teammates. If he wasn't nervous, he didn't care.

Most of Thompson's 6 misses in 10 attempts weren't due to nerves--they were due to bad form. He looks to have a weird side motion with his elbow going on in the stroke. He was basically a 50%-60% ft shooter in HS.
