Lopiano had to find new trophy space every semester. Brackin, Elliot (both of whom lost grade A talent during their most recent seasons, but just kept on winning), and Kearney(who has more NCAA titles than all but Reese) are the standard.

Plonsky needs to do what Conradt did... retire in honor. Ridiculous that UT has to be the butt of jokes with respects to the womens basketball program.

A million dollars for the mediocre product is unacceptable and not up to Texas standards.

Conradt would never be so low to lose 10 straight to the Aggies.

I am so glad I love this game and this team for the sheer joy it brings to my life, and not for some lame-*** "we're UT and we WIN" excuse-for-a-fan reason. Nice job dropping in every once in a while to leave your turds then run off.
 
True2Horns, dont let the name confuse you, in Texas and I buy lots of UT tickets year round. Imagine me as the occasional 'Turd dropper' if you like, but actually hardcore here. But there is a UT standard (ESPN put its value at 300 million); we invite you to join it. But honestly, try it our way for awhile. I swear if we start winning you will enjoy life even more!
 
Here's the thing guys...the top three teams in the conference deserve to be there! BU, ATM, OU. Texas was close to beating two of them at home but couldn't close the deal. I don't have a problem with that.

I do have a problem with ISU, KSU, TT, and KU above Texas!!!!! This is wrong and ridiculous, not to mention EMBARASSING!!!!

The north schools don't have to play the powerful south schools twice, so that is some of the issue, but still.....we are texas and we need to be better FAST.

I am trying to stay positive, but it is very thin. We lost Cokie Reed. A player that was supposed to make a difference. Would our volleyball team be the same if they had lost Rachel Adams? Probably not!! How about mens ball without Tristan?

Next year will be different with everyone playing each other AND getting Cokie and one more year under Chassidys belt.

I believe plonsky is fine. Softball, womens track, etc seem to be getting better and the recruits are coming. I don't see that in womens BBall so far. I am hoping it gets better soon. 10 straight to any team, especially a rival....is unacceptable!!!!!
 
Great post! Refreshing to see a honest, objective assessment instead of pom pom comments from the thick orange glasses crowd that think Coach G is the one, or the messiah.

Business is business and UT is no better than they were 4 years ago.

Oh.., and a clothing line does not bring championships. This program is on trouble!

Cuernos, Bracken's best swimmer went pro and she still won the conference; she is still highly ranked.

At the risk of seeming like troll and mentioning facts, consider this: two of the teams we are currently ahead of in conference standings (there are only four) won't be on the schedule next year.
 
Baylor without Griner would be a different team.

ATM without Adams would be a different team.

UT without Reed IS a different team.

No one likes to lose... To any team. Quit with your emotional "turd" blossoms for a minute and look what happens one year from now. Reed is back. Brewer is here. Three top recruits. I will join the turd team next year if we can't get it done, but until then we would just be throwing the baby out with the bath water.
 
The season is not over. If we sweep OSU and TT and make even a small showing in the B12 tourney we most likely are in the big dance where we have the ability to do well. Let's have a little faith still.
 
Plonsky is among the most respected ADs in the country and our women's atheltic department among the most successful. We haven't had a NC in a few years but we continue to be highly ranked in many disciplines and are close to bringing home another title in several sports.

As far as GG is concerned we are incredibly lucky to have her. That's a good thing because she's going to be at the helm for several decades, and like most others, that makes me very happy.
