Steering Wheel

I never really payed much attention but is it normal to be able to turn the steering wheel 360+ degrees before it reaches it full turn while idleing?

This is determined by the design and ratio of the gears in the steering gearbox-some cars will take less turns, others more. It should be the same in each direction. There is also often an adjustable stop so the wheels don't hit the frame or suspension when turned fully, which someone could have jacked with if you think it turns too much to one side.
