Steakhouses and strip clubs in Vegas.....

A buddy of mine is having his bachelor party in Vegas come January. We are thinking about what to do for dinner and thinking likely a steakhouse.

If we were to go to Smith & Wollensky, Prime or Vic & Anthony's for a party of 8, would we need to get a reservation. How would you rate the 3 of these? I have a feeling V&A might be out since we are staying on the strip but I have heard great things about it.

We are thinking about going to either Crazy Horse Too or Spearmint Rhino's. I have been to both but been probably 3-4 years. If I were to call ahead of time and tell them that we are having a bachelor party, what type of deals can I negotiate? Any shot at free cover for all of us?

Prime is very good, but probably too formal for a bachelor party.

I would go with Craftsteak over at MGM. Much more casual, trendy feel to it. Bonus is that it is the best steakhouse in Vegas, IMHO.

If not Craftsteak, you might try N9NE Steakhouse over at the Palms. It is also probably a more appropriate scene for a group of guys.

Far as strip clubs, I am not sure whether Crazy Horse is even open again. It has closed down twice in the last few years and has sucked since it first closed down. All of the Crazy Horse talent is over at Spearmint Rhino's primarily. I would definitely call SR ahead of time and work on getting a table. Most of the good tables appear to be bottle service these days, so that may be the best route.

I looked online and it showed the average entree price was $90. This is pre tip, pre alcohol. True or mistake?

I was thinking that with drinks, wine, steaks, tip at Smith & Wollensky's would be roughly $100 per person. That is about right for us. We aren't looking for $200 per person.

Is Crafsteak in the S&W ballpark?

We went to delmonicos at the Venetian for a B party last march and we brough bottles of wine with us and there was a $15 corkage fee. I was surprised of this but worked out great......8 of you pick up at least 4-6 nice bottles or so......and i think we all have salad/soup and an entree with sides and with tip it was like $110. plus chip in for the bottles another $20 a head....

Great steak....everyone has there opinion on the steakhouses in LV. There are prob 7 or 8 that are fantastic....stay away from the chains while you are there.

I would bet most good steakhouses in Vegas will cost nearly the same(ie: $35-$50 for a nice steak, everything else ala carte. Alcohol will certainly be the same.

I was introduced to the amazingness that is The Tillerman, last summer. I have reservations again for next week when I will be out in vegas again. This is my favorite place in Vegas. I have eaten at Pure, and S&W. In my opinion, this place is much better. Has better options(seafood as well) A nice cigar lounge. The prices are better for in my opinion better service and food. check it out online. Reservations are reccomended. You will NOT be disapointed.

regarding strip clubs..Olympic Garden if you want good mileage. On average women are not as hot as Spearmint Rhino, but you will get what you paid for and more. It is very sleezy. Don't say I didn't warn you.

I called up Spearmint Rhino. They said that for bachelor parties if I call 1-2 weeks beforehand, they can secure us with free limo from our hotel, free cover, and we don't need to do table service....

Of course we will tip but that is a great deal.

As for the steakhouse, the only issue is that there are 8 of us and I know we'll be a bit loud. From what I have heard S&W is the type of place to go then. We don't want the couple next to us trying to have a special romantic night and then hear some old story about the bachelor and a *****........................

We went to Delmonicos with 14 dudes......and were loaded.....its vegas dude.....there will be a few tables of dudes out there doing the same thing....it is the bachelor party capital of the world.

you can let loose at delmonico's.

when i was there in august, emt's had to come in due to a guy with alcohol poisoning. he was f'ing psychotic, from vodka and red bull. it kicked so much ***.

Oustide of Prime, I do not see a place mentioned where you could not be reasonably loud and have a good time. If your plan is simply to be a bunch of asses, then perhaps Hooters would be a better spot.

We ate at N9ne at the Palms Hotel a couple of weeks ago, and it was excellent. Hip crowd, great food. You can get a little loud in there.

I attended a bachelor party with 20 guys and we ate at N9NE. I don't think it's possible to be any louder than we were, so you're definitely fine there.

You can't go wrong with Delmonicos or CraftSteak and you can be loud at either place. CraftSteak will accommodate a party of 8. If you have a prob with the resv PM me.

You can't go wrong with the Rhino, whatever you do stay the hell away from the OG. Crazy Horse Two is a disaster.

fyi, 7 or more at craft steak requires group menu. delmonico's is for more than 8, i believe. a lot of people want to order off of the menu, so that may figure in to your decision.

I have reservations at both S&W and CraftSteak. I have a feeling we will be going to CraftSteak after reading this thread......

i got deplorable service at S&W, at the Wynn.

I will never eat there again.

or are you talking about smith and wollensky's when you say "S&W"

CraftSteak website says "business casual" for dress. We'll be in jeans likely, I don't consider that business casual. Is this an issue?

We went to Spearmint Rhino Friday night. I had been there before 4 years ago and once again I was super impressed. There were so many hot strippers there. Maybe the top 0.9% of strippers that you see at Yellow Rose, but it is full of them. I called them up the week before and arranged for a free "limo" (more like shuttle bus that they pimp out), free cover and entrance in the back to avoid the lines. We got one bottle ($375 ouch) in the VIP section but then moved to another area afterwards. Floyd Mayweather ended up there at some point in the night.

We went to Craftsteak at MGM for dinner. I had the rib-eye (it was bone-in which it didn't say on the menu but that's great news b/c I prefer that). The steak was amazing. The decor was a bit more modern than I prefer and a bit more subdued but we had a great time. The food once again was amazing. I will say their wine list was lengthy. Only bad thing was that it was hard to find a wine that was not $200+ per bottle. The price for the food was what I expected though and the steak was probably the 2nd best steak I have ever had, possibly the best.

Just got back a few hours ago. I don't want to work tomorrow........
