Stavion Lowe to LSU ?

According to Rivals he did today. I almost forgot who he was, too low on the food chain for me to remember. I guess Tech may have been recruiting him.

The #10 OG in the country and a top 20 player in the state is too low on the food chain?

Whatever...LSU is making a disturbing habit of cherrypicking the top talent in the state.
 
By too low on the chain, I mean for the Horns' needs. No dish intended for Stavion. Our numbers for 09 demand that we give out the remaining scollies for top rated national 100 guys. Rivals had Lowe at a rating in the bottom top100 for in state.
 
Yo Jo, I saw the difference after I posted, forgot that sometimes Ketch and the generic Rivals base do not match, sorry about that, but you still know what I mean, we need to try to get Shepard back from LSU, which I still believe can be done if LSU has a bad year, get McFarland, then hope for the three big K's, the arkie DB and then maybe steal Loston from Clem. We can dream can't we?.
 
Hardly a recruiting expert here, but what I can tell you about our OL recruiting this year is as soon as we signed the 2008 class, we went out and got commits from all the OLinemen we had specifically wanted, with the exception of that guy from West Texas (name eludes me at moment). However, we got him to commit too about a month later. In summary, we targeted a select group of linemen, all of whom are highly regarded, highly rated, and gained commits from every one of them.
 
Sadly, LSU is not going to have a bad year and I wouldn't be surprised to see them end up with McFarland & Loston to go with Shep.

After last season, when OU got the top 3 in the state, it would be uphauling to see 3 of the top 4 in 2009 go to LSU.
 
Texas is loaded on the OL and wasn't in need of Stavion Lowe....

LSU was in a pressing need of OL and is very happy to sign a player like Love.


LSU will sign one other lineman and is hoping to get Xavier Nixon or Xavier Su'a Filo.


Alabama and Auburn both thought they would sign Love.
