Statistics question

In looking at NCAA.com team comparison statistics, I have a question. Are "blocks per game" mutually exclusive from "steals per game?" When a player blocks a shot and another player on the same team gets the ball as a result, does that also count statistically as a steal?

I'm pretty sure it counts as a rebound, since a blocked shot is by definition also a shot attempt.
