I am applying for a GA spot at Baylor and along with my resume and cover letter, I have to submit a "Statement of faith"

What should I include in this? I have never written one before and this GA spot is really a big deal.

Please save the non-helpful responses.

I think they have a policy in some form or fashion that you have to be Christian to work in a teaching position. I am not sure how detailed the statement should be but I am pretty sure you don't want to put you are an atheist or a Hindu...

I knew this guy who received his BA at UT and a Ph.D at Yale and was denied a teaching position at Baylor because he wasn't a Christian. So he took a position at Harvard.

If you are a believer, I would suppose an honest statement detailing your beliefs would suffice. Be sure to include a dead cat in the package.

Are you a Baptist or what? What is your Faith? My guess is you would want to write something to the effect you are a Christian who is still on her journey to more perfectly love your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Then you can throw some stuff in about how homosexual marriage is a sin.

I believe the supreme law of this country is the Constitution except when it goes against my faith. My faith supersedes any document.

You can thank me later.

If you want the correct answer copy iamhorn's post above.

Otherwise tell them God has spoken to you and wants you there, plus all the young hot co-eds didn't hurt either.
