State Farm Lone Star update - May 10, 2009

As of now we have cinched a tie thanks to our baseball team fighting and winning two out of the three games. The score is now 9.5 to 7.5 with two points available in Men and Womens' Outdoor Track and Field events. These points will be decided on May 17, 2009 which is next Sunday. Unfortunately in these events the Aggies will be favored so probably it will be a tie overall and the trophy will remain at College Station but at least a tie is better than a loss even though I don't like tying the Aggies in anything no matter where the trophy goes on their silly tie breaking rule on that part. Still our baseball team is to be commending to getting us the point. We knew it wouldn't be easy for them but they came through for us this year.

Sadly this just makes the lost points in golf and tennis hurt that much more, win either of those and Texas wins the LSS as it is the tie goes to aggy and next year they have to be the favorites to win it a third year in a row.
