State Fair scouting report

Yesterday, I made my annual scouting trip to the Fair, to find out who's got the cheapest beer, hidden parking gems, shortest corndog lines, and new fried food locations.

With respect to this forum and to anyone that wants their secret treasures to remain so, I'll offer any of my advice to PM's if you'd like.

FYI, I think there's an App listed under State Fair of Texas in iTunes/App Store. I can't get my passwords to reset, but I know it's there to use for gameday.

And remember, no matter where you park, be sure to verify that you're parking legally OR somewhere that you're not in jeopardy of being towed. That debacle from a few years back is still fresh on a lot of people's minds.

My understanding is that the Fried Butter was so successful last year that this year they have upped the ante with a special concoction made from the Trans Fats taken out of the fats everywhere else and then formed into sausages shaped like an aeorta, battered and fried - twice.

Yum.

Seriously, don't forget to go early. Really. Sunup early. Then get your beer on and skip the fried stuff until after.
