State championships moving?

UIL asks about Alamodome for state tourney.

Seems like too many activities the weekends of the girls and boys basketball state championships dates are leaving Austin with insufficient hotel rooms for schools and fans. And I'm the prices are a bit high, as well, since that seems to be a favorite technique for hotels to use during peak times.

Hope it doesn't happen, but if it does it's understandable. Several events have been diverted from Austin due to lack of hotel space, parking, and traffic problems.

Coaches see UIL basketball tournament coming to San Antonio

could it happen as soon as the spring of 2015? Wonder how soon they would announce a move?
