Stanley Cup Finals

After winning 2 Cups in the '70's, my Flyers have lost 5 straight Stanley Cup Finals. I can't remember the last time the Blackhawks won a Cup. Somebody is going to be very excited to finally win it again. Here's to a great series. May the ghost of Moose Dupont bring us luck. And I better hear Kate Smith sing at least one time.

Blackhawks fan here.

1961 was last Cup champ in Chicago. I think its the longest drought in NHL history as would befit a city that endures the Chicago Cubs.

Definitely the fans are in a frenzy up here.

I will actually watch the Cup finals this year! I've been a Flyers fan since I saw Bobby Clarke. I'm very excited!

Im not really a hockey fan and dont completely understand the x's and o's of the sport. With that said, playoff hockey is allsome. The intensity of the fans and players is great to watch. As a cubs fan I feel for the city of Chicago - hopefully the 'hawks can pull it off.

I grew up in SA and never even knew what hockey was until I came up to Chicago last year and watched my first hockey game (with interest) of USA v Canada, both games. I've since watched every playoff game the Hawks have played and know so much more about the sport to the point I downloaded NHL 09 (with 2010 rosters) and have been playing it. Here come the hawks *******

Yah haha, I just watched that a couple hours ago. Ruskies came back on the ice after being told they wouldn't get paid unless they finished the game

I think the Hawks need to win this one more than the Flyers. Other than the 90s Bulls (which no one even talks about in Chicago any more), and the one ChiSox WS (I only know Cubs fans), it's just been a futile sports time in Chicago recently. Whether it's losing Urlacher for entire seasons or another year of bottom tier baseball, I think this is the type of thing that could energize a fan base even more and lead to sports successes in other areas.

Very out of character for Niemi, but it is his first ever game in the Stanley Cup. If he can settle down, the Hawks have it in the bag.

We would have needed home ice to win this cup. Even if we win Wed, it's all Blackhawks in game 7. That will be 6 straight finals losses for the Flyers.

I just hope Big Byfug totally wrecks that jackass Pronger again, that would've been worth the cup, although getting both ain't bad.
