Stanford Weekend

We're thinking of going to the Stanford series. Anybody have suggestions as to where to stay? Good places to eat?

Where are you coming from? Will you have a car? (Alamo has a $10/day weekend special if you need a rental.) How close or far do you want to be from the ballpark? If you don't mind driving about 18 miles from Milpitas, you should be able to get a 3.5* star room for <=$40 (plus fees) via Priceline. Sorry, can't really help with where to eat.

Many good restaurants depending on what you want.

Off of California (across El Camino from Stanford): The Counter (great burgers); La Bodeguita (Cuban) and many more. You can pretty much walk down California and take your pick.

If you go into Palo Alto, many choices off of University: Tamarine is upscale and very nice (fusion); La Strada (Italian) is also a favorite. Again, you can just drive down University and take your pick of good places.

For great sushi I would recommend Fuki Sushi off El Camino.

I won't be able to go but I badly want to sweep these guys. They have owned us in too many sports lately. Go Horns...let's keep the streak alice!
