A huge endowment should help students right?

Good that someone made this move finally. Harvard and Yale's endowments have gotten so ludicrous, I don't know how they can justify even charging tuition. Harvard's is north of 30 Billion, and sometimes grows over 20% in a year. The city of Cambridge has forbidden them to purchase more real estate, as their tax exempt status has reduced property tax rolls so much. They aren't doing anything with the endowment except growing it. At some point it has to be questioned what they are growing it for? Are they eventually going to buy their own country or island and move? If not, they should probably start trying to use some of it for something.
